KavLyfe DMCA / Copyright Takedown Policy
Last updated: July 29, 2026
KavLyfe operates a search engine that indexes gospel-related content from across the public web, in addition to content published through its own first-party apps. KavLyfe respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Service to do the same. This Policy explains how a copyright owner can request the removal of indexed content they believe infringes their rights.
1. Overview
KavLyfe operates a search engine that indexes gospel-related content from across the public web, in addition to content published through its own first-party apps. KavLyfe respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Service to do the same.
2. Scope - what this Policy covers
This Policy applies to third-party content that KavLyfe's search engine indexes and links to (titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and a link to the original source). KavLyfe does not host most of the content returned in search results; removing a listing from KavLyfe's index does not remove the content from its original source - it only removes it from appearing in KavLyfe's search results.
3. Designated Agent
KavLyfe's designated agent for copyright concerns is:
- Name/Role: Legal Contact, KavLyfe
- Email: [email protected]
- Mailing address: To be added
4. How to submit a takedown notice
To submit a takedown request, provide the following information to the designated agent above:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
- The exact URL(s) on KavLyfe where the allegedly infringing content appears in search results.
- Your contact information (name, address, phone number, and email address).
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
5. Action on a valid notice
Upon receipt of a facially valid takedown notice, KavLyfe will remove or disable the corresponding listing from its search index promptly. Because KavLyfe typically does not host the underlying content, this action affects only its appearance in KavLyfe's search results, not its availability on the original third-party source.
6. Counter-notice
If you believe content was removed in error or as a result of misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to the designated agent containing:
- Identification of the listing that was removed and its location before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the listing was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, phone number, and email address, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction described in KavLyfe's Terms of Service.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
KavLyfe may reinstate the listing if the original complainant does not pursue further action within a reasonable time after receiving the counter-notice.
7. Repeat infringers
KavLyfe maintains a record of takedown notices by source. A third-party source that is the subject of repeated, valid takedown notices may be deprioritized in search rankings or excluded from the index entirely, at KavLyfe's discretion.
8. False claims
Submitting a knowingly false takedown notice or counter-notice may result in legal liability under applicable law. Please ensure your claim is accurate before submitting it.
